When Tom first got his Clio it was 100% standard and "since then a few things have changed" explains Tom. After we had a look around his car we took him for a pint to talk more about his build.

First of all the Clio went for a trip to Studio Incar who fitted the 172 with a full Airlift Performance kit, including an AccuAir tank. Tom goes on to explain that the air install wasn’t a straight forward "fit and done" job and required Mk1 Golf front struts and Mk4 Golf rear struts - now that's dedication!

The audio install includes a sub, tweeters and mid bass drivers all produced by Hertz and are installed into custom mouldings, again by Studio Incar. Tom says "Even the rear seats have been removed to allow room for the custom boot build whilst up front I can comfortably place myself in Corbeau Club Sport bucket seats behind a Momo quick release steering wheel" and it's all finished off with a show cage surrounding everything.

Tom decided to sit all of this on a gorgeous set of Klutch SL1 alloys and why not? The engine has a few modifications including Clio 197 cams and a Ktec Supersport stealth exhaust with plenty more to come.

The front end has also had a few little tweaks, in the form of a custom sprayed front bumper and a Chevrolet lower splitter. We are reliably informed that Tom hasn't finished with his project just yet and is looking to have it wrapped in the new year along with talk of a possible supercharger as well!

We’re sure this Clio will make a huge presence at a lot of shows in 2016 and is definitely one to keep an eye out for – be sure to check it out on our Dream227 stand throughout the year. Keep up the great work Tom!
